In a Loveless Marriage?
Almost everybody marries for love nowadays. Although there are still some which practice arranged marriages, in some of these cases people who have had arranged marriages end up loving their respective spouses.
However, there are also some cases where those with arranged marriages end up sticking together not because of love but because of other factors. And then there are also some married couples who have been married for love but have somehow found themselves in a loveless marriage.
People stick together even if they’re in a loveless marriage because of a variety of reasons. Some may stay together for their children’s sake.
Some may stay a couple because of their religion or because divorce isn’t permitted in their society. And then there are those who stay in the marriage because of financial reasons. There are also other reasons why people stick together even in this kind of marriage.
Whatever the reasons may be, the fact still remains that the love is gone in their marriage and, sooner or later, this situation will affect them and everyone around them.
Like most things in life, there is always a choice to choose from. People who are in a loveless marriage also have a choice. They can stay together and try to rekindle the spark in their relationship.
They may also try to stay together without trying to rekindle the love that was once between them and set ground rules that are mutually beneficial to both parties. There also some who may choose to end their marriage by having a divorce or an annulment, whatever their society or religion allows.
Whatever they decide to do, the married couple should keep in mind that whatever step they take, lives will be affected and so they should think their decisions over very carefully. After all, who wants to make the situation worse than it already is?
